About Bliss
Bliss Event Planning & Styling is a young and dynamic event management and and styling project. We are specialized in Party Styling and decoration of private, children’s and intimate events, such as birthdays, baptisms, communions, small weddings or corporate events.
We are passionate about teaching all we know to our fabulous students and believe that training is very important in this market. We take our courses to many cities in Portugal and will soon make them available internationally. Our courses and workshops main themes are Party Styling, Event Management, Cake Design, Floral Design, Balloon Design, among othertopics related to Events.

Only then will we be able to create an amazing event, for you and the whole family! The presentation of our Sweet tables will be the culmination of a highly creative and personalized process, for you who need your time for other matters! We are delighted to organize every detail for you, controlling the event’s budget, managing suppliers, infusing our creativity, knowledge, training and experience in all processes.

The Founder
Joana Bernardo Rodrigues studied at two world-class hotel schools, Les Roches and the Swiss Hotel Management School, finishing her BA in International Hospitality and Events Management in 2007. She performed several functions in several 5-star hotel chains such aas The Four Seasons and The Ritz-Carlton. She also worked for other industries.
In 2012, she trained at Isto Faz-se Cake Design School, created a Cake Design Facebook project and collaborated with Portuguese Event Planners for some years. In 2016, she studiedCake Decoration at Squires Kitchen International School of Cake Design, having studied with Claire Fitzsimons, Tessa Whitehouse, among other talented professionals. In Portugal, she learned with Sónia Azoia, Michael Almeida and Clara Pedro.
In 2017, Joana founded the Bliss project, teaching in her own atelier the art of Cake Design. The project grew quickly and Joana decided to make it bigger, incorporating Event Styling and Management services.. In the meantime, he deepens her knowledge of Party Styling, Floral Design and Balloon Design, having studied with Kika Duarte (Auguri Festas) and Teresa Ribeiro (Academia Teresa Ribeiro – Floral Design School).
In 2020, Joana created the first Portuguese Party Styling Academy. She continues creating new presential and online courses.
